Dear Friends,
It’s 2015 now, which means it’s finally the year we get Hoverboards (I’m talking about the the real one and not these crappy knockoffs.) There’s a lot coming up but before we get ahead of ourselves, I wanted to take a step back and thank everyone for the year that was 2014. I won’t lie, 2014 was a big one for us and we got to do things that we didn’t think were possible before: Tripping balls at Street League, interviewing Gino Iannucci about Fucking Awesome, Gay Talk with Sam Mcguire, Skating Psych Wards, Pappalardo controversy, breaking news with Jamie Thomas… etc etc..
With that in mind, we have to give a big thank you to all our friends & contributors who have submitted quality content over the 12 months and most importantly, you guys, the readers, for enjoying (or not enjoying) the articles and keeping this thing afloat. Your feedback, comments, bitching, emails, submissions, high fives are all appreciated and mean a lot more to us then you probably know.
For 2015 we are diving into some new territory, with a board & shoe collabo in the works, an online store we actually update with brand new shit and taking our Locals video series outside of New York, finding inspiring people and stories from around the world. Other then that, we vow to do our best and continue to produce high quality online shenanigans including: more illustrations, honesty, raw interviews, no US Army ads, questionable content, badwords! silly articles and no agenda. Wish us luck.
Happy 2015 everybody.
Love,
Jenkem
