Eyo! We got a decent number of submissions for our reading contest, and we’ve finally gotten enough time off from our regularly scheduled programming to weed through ’em all. Having you guys try your best tricks while taking your eyes off the board was a bit of a risky challenge, so it was surprising to see people pull out some pretty heavy maneuvers (and decent books) all at once. Thankfully, nobody got really hurt, although we did catch wind of one dislocated shoulder.
We’ve picked the five winners and stitched them together in the edit above. We’ll be DM’ing you on Instagram to get your sizes and addys. Big big thanks to everyone who submitted, these edits kept us going throughout the day and we ended up talking about every single one. Stay tuned for our next contest/giveaway once we think of something worthwhile.
Winners (in order of appearance)
Ben Koppl (x2!)
Daniel Policelli
Jeremy Manson
Tyler Dietterich + crew
Vlad Petruchek + Maxim Belous

Should be automatically disqualified for reading Ayn Rand, though.

How dare you. That novel is a masterpiece. Skateboarding is a perfectly individual pursuit that mirrors Rand’s message in every way. You clearly aren’t educated in Objectivist philosophy.

Nothing of value was ever written by a woman, ever, and Rand is further proof. Yes, let us all appreciate a philosophy that’s an amalgamation of the worst elements of nihilism and capitalism, and let us all fellate industrialists with the hopes of one day being offered scraps from the table. The best thing about objectivism is that it is such a crippled system that it takes two kinds of people to appreciate it: charlatans and dilettantes.
Ps: your weak ass went and commented on your own comments. Chump.

Does anyone have troubles playing this video? On 02:03 it’s just stopped and I can’t do anything.
