We’ve always had a soft spot for skateboarding’s characters and outliers and over the last couple of weeks we’ve been getting messages about this guy who calls himself Weckingball. As the self-proclaimed “most jacked skateboarder in the world,” Weckingball is a super-brolic New Jersey guy who goes around trash talking everyone from local kids to pro skaters and industry heads IRL and on the interwebs. He also may or may not be ‘roided up.
After watching his videos skating workout equipment and receiving enough DMs pestering us to do something around this guy, we decided to bite the bullet and meet up with the skater / WWF style character himself.
Sure enough, gallon water jug and spliff in hand, Weck showed up to Manhattan ready to skate around and even fight if need be. The surprising thing was, as much of a buttnut he plays on the internet, Weck’s actually a pretty mellow dude, and more considerate and nice than you would expect.
Here’s a look at our time wandering lower Manhattan with skating’s biggest troll. As one of our readers said, “If you are going to put on a freak show, at least show all of the freaks.”

NYC skateboarding is as soft as all the Bushwick/Bed-Stuy/Dad’s rent transplants that have been watering down the scene since 2004; even Jenkem man, you guys are like owned by Nike with your little book; no new up and coming brand from the city is making it unless they are backed by big shoe business; let the Weck rock, we’re letting all you daddies boys even skate here, so cum bay ya like Quartersnacks y’all.

Ugh, that was painful to watch. I couldn’t even make it until the end. He’s way too old to act like that.
