The last thing skateboarding needs is another podcast hosted by old heads who interview their buddies. Eventually, all of the stories and episodes start to sound the same. That’s why we decided to create something different that focuses on the future voices of skateboarding. Introducing, “Okay, Last Try” hosted by Noah team rider, Elise Hedge, and myself, Larry Lanza .
To avoid all of the devastating pitfalls of becoming a jaded bitter skater, Elise and I wanted to reach out to our younger peers and at least attempt to stay connected.
For the second episode of “Okay, Last Try,” Elise and I sat down with Una Farrar and Poppy Starr. We were able to catch them while Una is in Australia on an extended “Olympic” related visit to be with Poppy. We talk about the documentary being made about Poppy’s life, Una and Poppy’s upcoming vid series with Vans, and to get the episode rolling, Elise pops off about receiving unsolicited advice at the skate park. Enjoy!
You can find all episodes on Spotify, Soundcloud, or Apple Podcasts. Give it a listen and a review. Let us know if we should cancel ourselves or not. – Larry

Glad to hear people talking about kids getting pushed, parent managed accounts, etc. I think would would be something that Jenkem could dive deeper into, but any more attention might not be beneficial to the kids who are being exploited by their parents.

I haven’t heard the podcast yet but after reading your comment I’m really looking forward to it now. I live in Taiwan and frequently see parents taking their 2-5 year old kids to the skate park. Some go to skate class, some are taught by their parents, and the way they talk to them is so weird to me. I hear the “coach” barking at them to do tricks and Ollie higher, I’ve heard a parent yell at his kid for doing a frontside 5050 instead of backside. It goes on.
It’s getting weird out there.

It just seems that this group of people just complain that things should be better. The hosts included.
