Here’s a statement that will make you think “Yeah, no shit?” A big part of making a classic skate video is the soundtrack. This is by no means breaking news, but it never ceases to impress us when a videographer perfectly curates a soundtrack.
Because that’s no small job. For one, you have to mitigate left-field requests and diverse personalities. Then you have to balance polar opposite styles and create pacing that keeps viewers invested. Honestly, talk about a challenge.
This is all to say that we have a high level of respect for videographer’s music tastes. And to show that respect, we’re giving Mix 149 to the beloved Jeff Cecere, someone who’s now dropped (in our personal opinion) three perfect soundtracks to videos three years in a row.
Jeff’s Mix is poised and balanced, with a track list that easily crosses the bridge from muddy guitars to country leaning ballads, but then takes the ferry to current-era R&B and dreamy house music. It’s a mix that could envelop any number of personalities and styles, which as we spoke about earlier, makes perfect sense for this talented filmmaker.

It’s insane how consistently good Jeff Cecere’s vids are. I almost don’t want another one to come out because of how perfect all three (that I know of) have been. Sick ass mix too thx Jenkem
