You’ve heard us say it a million times already, but skateboarding on the east coast in the winter sucks. Even in NY, there are practically no indoor skate parks and skating outside in anything under 35 degrees really isn’t that fun.
So when KCDC Skateshop hit us up to be involved with their weekly Skate Night series again with NY Skateboarding, HUF and KR3W, it was a no brainer. We’ve been involved for the last 2 years, and we’re happy to be able to do more local stuff and get our asses off of the internet.
This year, we’re at Black Bear bar in Williamsburg, where they built a full blown miniramp right smack in the middle of the bar. Free to skate – no helmets, no weird fenced off area, no drama! You can enjoy watching the ramp from the bar, and after your perfect run they have drinks flowing till 4AM to ensure a nice hangover in the morning. It does get crowded so if you plan to come, show up early, bring a board and bring some friends who like this type of stuff. Skate Night goes off every Thursday, 9-12PM at 70 N 6th St, Brooklyn, NY 11249. Log off of Netflix, put on some pants and come join us.
